Everlast Worldwide has announced a two-year equipment deal with Northern Irish Featherweight boxing champion Carl Frampton.

The agreement, which comes ahead of the fighter’s World Championship bout on 22nd December, makes Frampton Everlast’s latest global ambassador as the manufacturer, marketer and licensor of boxing, MMA and fitness equipment continues its UK push.

The partnership will focus on spearheading the brand’s progression in the UK market through content generation, brand marketing initiatives and inspiring the next generation of champions.

Luke Smith, Everlast’s brand & sports marketing manager for UK & Europe, explained: “Carl is a fantastic ambassador not only for the sport of boxing but also within society. His dedication, integrity and character mirror Everlast’s values and we’re all excited to get started.

Carl is a star in and outside the ring,” added Chris Zoller, vice president of marketing and product development for Everlast.

He epitomises the values of Everlast and is one of the best and most recognisable fighters in the sport. We can’t wait to work more closely with Carl to continue building his fanbase and brand profile over the coming years.”

Frampton joins a long list of Everlast ambassadors over more than a century, who have included the likes of Jack Dempsey and Sugar Ray Robinson.

Commenting on the partnership, he said: “They (Everlast) are the best in the business. I have been using their equipment for some time now, so I’m delighted to be becoming an ambassador and be joining #TeamEverlast.

They are a brand with heritage that stand for integrity, quality and dedication which are values that I hold closely. I look forward to building on our already great relationship and inspiring the next generation of boxers.”

Frampton will take on reigning IBF champion, Sheffield’s Josh Warrington, in his upcoming bout at Manchester Arena.

The 27-year-old holds a record of 27-1 since turning pro and has held world titles in two weight classes, the first Northern Irishman to achieve such a feat.

The Ring Magazine Fighter of the Year in 2016 held the WBA (Super) and IBF Super-Bantamweight titles from 2014 to 2016 and the WBA (Super) Featherweight title from 2016 to 2017.
