Like a recurring nightmare. The flow and control of a game can get away from England too often. Everyone concedes the occasional penalty, but to quickly duplicate the daft act and to have an inability to collectively sense danger in a referee’s voice is bordering on the negligent.

Kicking

Too often against South Africa front-line kickers, who did not seem to have a clear plan, resorted to the boot downfield in the expectation or hope of a strong kick chase. Do this against the All Blacks and you will chase shadows.
